Our Care Teams
Our doctors and providers are here to give you the highest quality women’s health care —at every stage of your life. As a Women First patient, you receive care not just from a doctor but from a Care Team dedicated to your health. Your Care Team consists of your board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist medical doctor, along with one or more Advanced Practice Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, and/or Physician Assistant, and clinical staff. Together, these care providers specialize in you – meaning you can easily discuss your concerns with any member of your Care Team, at a visit or on the phone, knowing they’ll be familiar with your care concerns.
Each patient in our practice is assigned to one of our Care Teams, giving every woman a caring team of medical professionals familiar with their health needs. A direct phone line gives you quick access to your Care Team, and you also may reach them online via FollowMyHealth at Women First – our secure, online communications center.

Obstetrics & Gynecology
Taylor Hodge Aiken, M.D.

Dr. Taylor Hodge Aiken is originally from Louisville and was delivered by our own Dr. Terry! Dr. Aiken joined Women First in 2022, where her focus is on obstetrics and comprehensive gynecologic care for women. She is back at Women First after receiving her medical degree from University of Louisville, where she also completed her residency. During her studies, Dr. Aiken received the Greater Louisville Medical Society Foundation Scholarship Award as a promising physician-to-be and earned honors in many of her clerkships. Her research regarding outcomes following Robotic Radical Hysterectomy for the treatment of Early-Stage Cervical Cancer was accepted for presentation at the Society of Gynecologic Oncology.
Audrey Fenwick, PA-C, NCMP

Audrey Fenwick has worked extensively in the field of women’s health with a focus on health education and held a women’s health research position at Northwestern University. She worked at the Northwestern Medicine Center for Sexual Medicine and Menopause and the Center for Complex Gynecology. She is a nationally certified menopause practitioner (NCMP) with extensive experience in menopause care and sexual medicine, treatment of vulvovaginal disorders, and pelvic pain.
Katherine Shannon, M.D.

Katherine V. Shannon, M.D., completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, and moved to Louisville afterwards to continue her studies. While at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, she received the Schwartz Medical Humanities Award, and she earned her Doctor of Medicine in 2013. She then traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati in 2017.

Jeanette Jaggers is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Before joining Women First in 2016, she worked for several years in Labor and Delivery and a variety of health care settings.

A Kentucky native, Dr. Ann Grider received her medical training in Louisville and Cincinnati, and has been with Women First since 1998. She specializes in minimally invasive surgery, particularly robotic surgery, and enjoys both Obstetrics and Gynecology, especially the long-term relationships she develops with her patients. Kristen Hord received her undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Kentucky, and brings experience as a surgical and pharmacy tech to her role as an OB/GYN Physician Assistant. She joined Women First in 2012.

Dr. Michele Johnson is an Ohio native who has made her home at Women First of Louisville since 2000. She received honors in her medical education program, provides comprehensive Obstetrics and Gynecology care for women of all ages, and enjoys helping her patients make the best health choices possible. Emily Henry brings nursing experience at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, to her role as Nurse Practitioner. She received both her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Belmont University with Cum Laude honors and joined Women First in 2021.

Dr. Lauren Lewis completed her undergraduate education at Duke University in Durham in 2005 and received her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in 2010. After completing her Residency at Duke University Medical Center, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Lewis joined Women First in 2016. Haley Alexander, APRN, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with over a decade of experience in women’s health. She has provided comprehensive OB/GYN care across several practices in Kentucky. Haley is skilled in a range of services including prenatal care, hormone therapy, in-office procedures, and ultrasound interpretation. A Louisville native, she earned both her BSN and MS in Women’s Health with honors.

Dr. Kelli Miller is a Louisville native who received her undergraduate and medical training at the University of Louisville. She joined Women First in 2002 and practices Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has special expertise in pelvic floor disorders, particularly urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, and she enjoys helping women find ways to live an active, healthy lifestyle at any age.

Dr. Margarita Terrassa has studied in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, has practiced in Louisville since 2005 and joined Women First in 2011. She is fluent in English and Spanish, practices Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has a special interest in robotic-assisted surgery and adolescent gynecological care. Nurse Practitioner Brooke Gahn gained five years of experience in labor and delivery in a hospital setting before joining Women First in 2019. Kaitlin Sullivan graduated magna cum laude with an undergraduate degree in psychology before receiving her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies and joining Women First as a Physician Assistant in 2012.

Heather received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2003 from Spalding University and her Master of Science in Nurse Practitioner studies from University of Cincinnati in 2010. Prior to joining Women First, Heather worked as a Nurse Practitioner for a private perinatology practice, providing routine to complex gynecologic and obstetrics health care services. She has also been responsible for direct patient care for high-risk obstetric patients at a Louisville-area hospital. Heather is a member of the Kentucky Association of Nursing. She joined Women First in 2013.

Peggy received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Louisville and received her Nurse Practitioner certification in 2000. After working for several years as a Charge Nurse and Certified Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery at Baptist Hospital, and as a Nurse Practitioner for an area OB/GYN group practice in Louisville, Peggy joined Women First in 2008.

Kristina “Nina” Berry, MSN, APRN, CNM, WHNP-BC, is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner who provides evidence-based, compassionate care to women at all stages of life. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Nurse-Midwifery and completed a post-graduate certificate in Women’s Health Nurse Practice at Frontier Nursing University. Her experience includes over eight years as a registered nurse and work as a Certified Nurse Midwife at the University of Kentucky Healthcare, where she cared for patients during labor, childbirth, and gynecologic visits.
Maggie Harris, APRN

Maggie Harris received her B.S. in Nursing from the University of Louisville and her M.S. in Nursing from Duke University. Prior to joining Women First, Maggie worked as a Clinical Nursing Instructor at Bellarmine University and as an APRN at Clark Just For Women Health Solutions. She also brings several years of experience as a Registered Nurse and as a Travel Nurse. Maggie is particularly passionate about providing high-quality healthcare to women across all life stages and helping them craft and maintain healthy lifestyles.
