About Dr. Grider

Dr Ann Grider grew up in Columbia, KY and completed her undergraduate degree at Centre College. She graduated from University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati and joined Women First in 1998.

She practices both obstetrics and gynecology. She loves caring for women throughout all phases of life. From teenagers and contraception to preconception care and pregnancy.

She loves helping women with menstrual problems and the transition to the menopause phase of life. She loves to educate women about the pros and cons of hormone therapy to help them find the best choice for them. With both her kids out of the house, she has her husband and fur babies to keep her company. In her next life, she wants to be involved with dog and cat rescue. She loves to play cards and stays active with pickleball and Pilates.

“I love all the facets of ob/gyn because I get to do a little bit of everything—I get to do procedures, perform operations, and experience the miracle of childbirth. Best of all, I get to form long-term relationships with people on a level that few others do.”

I try to put myself in my patients’ shoes and ask “if this were me, what would I want done?” “every patient is special and unique”

Dr Grider is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is a member of Kentucky Medical Association, the society of Lapraoscopic Surgeons, Jefferson Co medical society, and NAMS (north American menopause society).

I love Dr. Brown. Hands down, she is an Angel on Earth. I literally would not be here today without her. She always tells me exactly what I need to hear, she stands up for her patients, and has believed in me when I don’t believe in myself. Woman’s health isn’t just gynecological. It’s mental. It’s having someone there to hold your hand when you’re alone. And Dr. Brown continues to hold my hand and I can’t thank her enough. I will forever be indebted to her and will love her forever. I will miss her incredibly and deeply when she retires. Thank you Dr. Brown, for everything. -Tiffany Enriquez
